From a Street Vendor’s Son to Company Founder
Md Amannullah is the Founder and CEO of Moti Group, a one-person technology company that he registered and continues to run single-handedly. A self-taught developer who began coding in 2021, he is the sole architect and developer of MotiMate, an AI-powered adaptive learning application released on Google Play in September 2026. The son of a street vendor, he now leads a registered company of his own, guided by an unwavering vision to bring intelligent solutions to every industry.
Md Amannullah was born in 2006 and hails from Darbhanga, Bihar, while Ranchi, Jharkhand is his hometown. His father sells slippers from a bicycle, travelling from street to street. That the son of a street hawker has become the founder of his own registered company speaks more eloquently than any description could.
His technical journey began in 2021 with little more than curiosity, a mobile phone and a firm resolve to learn. He studied coding through YouTube tutorials and practised on emulator applications installed on his phone, eventually building his first portfolio website. He is now pursuing a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (AI and ML) at AVS Engineering College in Salem, Tamil Nadu, and it was there that his most ambitious idea took shape. Having moved from a Hindi-speaking background, he found himself in classrooms where lessons were delivered in Tamil, with only a limited command of English to lean upon, and learning became a formidable challenge. Around the same time, he observed that the AI tools available to him offered only generic, chatbot-style responses, and that none had been designed specifically for education.
These two shortcomings became the seed of MotiMate. His original vision was an application capable of translating a teacher’s words live, within the classroom, into the student’s own language, while simultaneously preparing notes and tests on the topic, so that a student would need only to listen and learn. As the work progressed, the idea was refined, and MotiMate was launched with other advanced capabilities instead. The live-translation ambition remains a part of the story of where it all began.
On 17 June 2026, during his second year of engineering, Moti Group was incubated and registered as an MSME. Working entirely alone as architect and developer, and assisted by AI tools, he built MotiMate Version 1 over roughly seven months, steered it through Google’s rigorous compliance requirements, and released it on Google Play on 25 September 2026. No team, investor or outside funding stands behind it: only one founder, one company and one product that now rests in the hands of its users.
